For any of you paleo foodies looking to step it up a notch this new year, have you thought about going strict paleo for 21 days? They say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, so this might also be good for you paleo newbies as well!
Starting tomorrow, January 5th, both The 21-Day Primal Blueprint Challenge and The 21-Day Sugar Detox (21dsd) kickoff. Similar to The Whole 30 program, the Primal Blueprint Challenge and the 21dsd focus on naturally cleansing your body of substances that create negative health effects by eating REAL food (i.e. quality protein, healthy fats and good carbs), and avoiding sugars, grains and unhealthy fats. By eating real food for 21 days, you'll not only change what you eat, but the way you think about food, your habits and cravings.
Anyone can participate in these programs (no sign-up required), and fortunately there are hundreds of paleo and primal recipes available on the web specific to help you plan and prep your meals. Some of my favorites are from Against All Grain and Mark's Daily Apple.
